The exercise focused on the development of a network of logistics hubs to support military operations across Europe.
The 1st European Network Procedure Exercise (NPX) took place in the Hellenic Army Simulation Center (HASC) in the city of Alexandroupolis, Greece.
The exercise was hosted from April 7 to 11 at the HASC facilities, located at the “2nd Lieutenant (Infantry) Theodoros Kandilaptis” military camp, and marked a milestone in the EU’s efforts to strengthen military mobility.
It was carried out under the framework of the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) Project “Network of LogHubs in Europe and Support to Operations” (NetLogHubs) and under the aegis of Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS).

The purpose of the exercise was to pre-test the operational capabilities of the “NetLogHubs” Project, identify challenges on the way to reaching Full Operational Capability (FOC) according to the Conceptual Framework Document (CFD), evaluate the procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
It is worth noting that Alexandroupoli, due to its port, airport, and road network, plays a strategic role as a key transit and support point for military forces heading into Europe.
