Greece will sell Sea Sparrow missiles to USA and then send to Ukraine

Greece - Greek News in EnglishGreece will sell Sea Sparrow missiles to USA and then send to Ukraine

Greece will sell to USA RIM-7 Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles, which will then be given to Ukraine.

Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles have been deemed operationally unnecessary as they are approaching their end of life.

The Hellenic Government National Security Council (HGNSC) will have to give relevant approval, which is considered certain as the US President will certainly have already given the green light.

Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles are American-made and short-range, and have been in the arsenal of the Greek Armed Forces (Hellenic Navy and Hellenic Air Force) for almost 40 years.
