Greece and Cape Verde strengthen defence ties with a new cooperation agreement signed at DEFEA 2025.
On the sidelines of the DEFEA 2025 defence exhibition, Greek Minister of Defence Nikos Dendias and Cape Verde’s Minister of Defence Janine Lélis signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral military ties.
The agreement focuses on providing military education and training to Cape Verdean cadets in Greece, reinforcing strategic collaboration between the two nations.
The signing reflects Greece’s broader defence diplomacy strategy, enhancing international partnerships through knowledge transfer and training programs.

Also present were key defence officials, including the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, Antonios Economou and Director General of the General Directorate of National Defence Policy and International Relations, Ambassador a.h. Michel Spinellis.
